Golden Rose - Jolly Jewels (Part one of three)

Hey everyone,

I want to share an amazing polish collection with you. The Golden Rose Jolly Jewels collection consists of 17 polishes and I love each and everyone of them. Some more than the other ofcourse. Golden Rose has really captured my heart with this collection. I already owned a few flakie polishes, which are awesome too by the way, but these are really something! I've bought them all at JS Internationails, which sells them for 3.95 EUR (5.26 USD) per polish. The shipment price depends on the weight of the package so if you're interested in buying these polishes, feel free to ask me for help or contact the shop at contact@js-internationails.com. It's impossible for me to swatch all these polishes at one time so I will divide the collection swatches in three seperate posts. Today I have six polishes to show you, #101 to #106.

Jolly Jewels #101 is a shard glitter/flakie polish in a clear base. This polish is comparable to China Glaze - Luxe and Lush and to the Revlon Moon Candy polishes. I mostly see blue shards but they're also some (light) gold shards in there! I'm a huge fan of shard glitter polishes and this one is so beautiful. I'm a huge fan of CG - Luxe and Lush so I'm happy to add this polish to the collection. The glitter pay-off is great. I used one coat in the pictures below over two coats of Orly - Black Vinyl.

Jolly Jewels #102 is a silver glitter polish in a sheer shimmery silver base. There are round glitters of several sizes in this polish. It has a very pretty foil finish. You can use this on it's own but it's also possible to layer this polish. Not the most original polish but I do have to say that I don't have any dupes in my stash. I used one coat over one coat Orly - Shine in the pictures below.

I unfortunately deleted the pictures of this polish on it's own. I still do have the macro shot though! This is three coats of Jolly Jewels #102 on it's own.

Jolly Jewels #103 is a Pink/Rose Gold glitter polish in a sheer pink/golden shimmery base. This polish is so interesting. I love the combination of gold and rose gold. The glitter sizes are comparable to Jolly Jewels #02. Because of the color combination the glitter really stands out. Really love this one. I used three coats on it's own in the pictures below.

Sorry for the bad macro shot. I tried to sharpen it more but this is the best that I could make of it. At least you can see the golden and pink shimmer in the base very clearly in these pictures.

I've also layered this polish which is also very pretty but I like it more on it's own.. I used one coat over one coat Color Club - Antiquated.

Jolly Jewels #104 is a pink/mauve glitter polish in a mauve/pink jelly base. It's a very pretty color. This glitter is different compared to the glitters that we've seen before in this collection. It's much more dense and has more smaller glitters than larger glitters in the mix. I don't know why it looks like there are silver glitters in the pictures, there is no silver glitter in this polish! I think it's because of how shimmery this polish is. No need to layer this, I only needed two coats for full opacity.

Jolly Jewels #105 is a beautiful beautiful beautiful green and purple glitter polish in a sheer lilac base. Polishes like this is the whole reason why I love this collection. There are a few of these polishes in this collection. I can't even express how much I love this polish. It's my favorite polish at the moment. I love the base color and the large green glitters and small purple glitter are so perfect together. It reminds me of a reversed version of Hare Polish - Asteroid Turf. If I only had to pick one polish of this collection (which is impossible) I would pick this one. I used three coats in the pictures below.

I also layerd this polish over one coat of Kinetics - Yes! I'm so in love with this combination. It makes the base color a bit darker. I've already worn it twice for 3 days in a row, which is a lot for me lol. I like this combination more than when it's layered on it's own.

Last but not least, Jolly Jewels #106 is a green, purple and gold micro-glitter polish in a clear base. Very cool combination. I don't have anything like this. It is a bit hard to build up on it's own, I used four coats on it's own in the pictures below, I can still see my nails through it in some spots but it doesn't bother me.

Here's an unfocused picture to show you how shimmery this polish is. It's so pretty!

I've also layered this polish over one coat of Catrice - Karl Says Très Chic. I don't know about this combo. I think it would be better if I layer this next time over a white polish.

The next post will include swatches of the Golden Rose Jolly Jewels #107 to #112 polishes. I'll try to swatch them this weekend. What do you think about the collection so far? Which polish is your favorite of this post? Let me know in the comments :)
