How is your weekend going? I've did some major beauty shopping this week and I wanted to share all the cool stuff that I've got with you. :D I've also got some great polishes from Lisa that I want to share! I did some major shopping in The Hague and also at the Huishoudbeurs convention in Amsterdam RAI.
First up, some stuff that I've got from the Huishoud beurs in the Amsterdam RAI. The huishoud beaurs is Dutch for Household Convention. You can get all kinds of stuff like food, household and beauty supplies from brands for a discount price. Unfortunately, I went there at one on the final days so most of the nicer stuff was sold out. There was a Sally Hansen Booth there, you could choose three products from their booth for 15 EUR plus a free hand cream tube. I picked the Sally Hansen Diamon Strength Nail Polish in the color Black Diamond. I was curious about their Nail Polish Strips, they only had the Girl Flower design left so I didnt have much choice than that. I was also curious about the Nailgrowth Miracle Serum. My nails are very prone to breakage so I'm hoping this will help. On the package it says 59% longer nails and smooth cuticles. I'm using this product now for a few days before applying my base coat so I'll let you know how this will turn out!
At the Rimmel London booth, you also could choose three products and get a BB cream sample and the Rimmel London Vinyl Max Lipgloss with the color of your choice for free. Because it was one of the final days the only colors available were pink or purple. I chose a purple color #401. My initial choice was to go for the new Apocalips lipglosses but they were all sold out. Instead, I purchased the Apocolips colors Light Year (not shown in the picture) and Big Bang at a drugstore. So at the booth, I picked up a Match Perfection Foundation in the color #400 Natural Beige, a Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in the color #190 Coral and a Glam'eyes Trio Eye Shadow Palette in the color #624 Lynx. I love the Apocalips lipglosses, the colors beautiful, they feel great on the lips and are long lasting. I also like the blush and the foundation but I dont like the eyeshadow. It's hard to get enough eyeshadow on my brush and the pigmentation is too weak in my opinion. I'm going to trade the velvet lipgloss and the BB cream sample but overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
I've done some major shopping in The Hague. I've never been shopping in that city. The only reason I went there is to get a free 30 ml hand cream from L'Occitane. They had a giveaway on their Facebook page where everyone would get a free hand cream if they would hit 20K likes. I've never heard of this brand but apparently, they are kind of popular and there are a whole bunch of L'Occitane stores in the Netherland. There were a few where you could pick up the hand cream and The Hague was the closest one for me. I really was surprised by this brand. It was a store with all kinds of natural skincare products. I've bought the Shea Honey Whipped Body Cream for 20 EUR and got the free Shea Butter Ultra Rich Hand Cream, which normally 7 EUR. I've also received some Daycream and Facial Masks samples of their Angelica line. I've tried their Angelica Daycream at the store and it felt really nice. The bodycream smells sooooo good and makes my skin feel very soft. I dont like the hand cream that much but that's because I like hand lotions more like OPI's Avo Juice. It's really thick and I'm sure some people prefer that more than a hand lotion, my boyfriend uses it right now and he's very satisfied with it.
I also went to the Douglas store, which is a Beauty Supply store. There was a 20% discount for Anastasia products that week. I knew that the brand was specialized in eyebrow products so I went there to get some info because I really suck at doing mine. I purchased the Brow 5-Pieces kit for 60.76 EUR (w/o discount 75.95 EUR). The kit includes the Duo Brow Powder (Medium Brown), five different Eyebrow Stencils (my shape is Petite Arch), a Anastasia Tweezer and a Duo Brush. My eyebrows are looking great now. I've also recieved the Anastasia Hydrafull Gloss in the color MOI for free, which is normally 24.95 EUR. I've also purchased the Collistar topgloss lipstick in the color Malva (20.95 EUR). I already owned the color Granatina. The Collistar Topgloss line is like a combo between lipstick and gloss, it isnt as pigmentated as normal lipstick, it shines like gloss but doesn't feel sticky. This lipstick feels so good on my lips, I cannot even describe how good this feels and how great the smell is. The final product that I've purchased in that store was the Collistar Rosetto Design Lipstick in the color Amaretto (24.30 EUR). This lipstick has a matte finish and I didn't own any lipsticks like that one yet. I like the matte look and I'm definitely going to look for more colors.
After that, I went to Lush. I really love their natural products so much. I picked up some new things that I haven't tried yet; a Soft Couer Massage Bar (8.60 EUR), a Sultana of Soap bar (5.75 EUR) and
an Ocean Salt Scrub (11.65 EUR). I've tried all of the products and I'm really happy with all of my purchases!
And I also went to Sephora. I havent been there for quite some time, only for a quick stop to get the Urban Decay - Naked Basics Palette. Wow, I definitely should go there more often! They expanded their collection and brands much more since the last time I was there. I only picked up two things; Nails Inc. - Brick Lane, which was a complete splurge because I think it was VERY expensive for only one polish, I dont know exactly how much it was but it was around 15 EUR. The OPI Euro Centrale miniset with the colors Can't Find My Czechbook, Suzi's Hungary AGAIN!, You're Such a BudaPest and OY-Another Polish Joke! I think this set was around 19 EUR.
I've also bought and recieved a lot of polishes this week. I was stalking the Kruidvat drugstore every day for the new Catrice collection. They finally came in and I bought ten polishes (2.99 EUR each) of their new collection. I love their new collection so so much. The formula is even better than it was before and the colors are just amazing. I picked Hugo Moss, I;m not a Greenager, Miss Piggy's BFF, Mint Me Up, Petropolitan, Squeeze Me, Purple Reign, Denim Moore, Lilactric and The Effect Maker. I've also purchased L'Oréal Confettis and Essence Nail Art kits at the drugstore, There was also a sale on Essie polishes last week at Bol.com. You could buy three Essie polishes for 20 EUR. I picked Trophy Wife, Mint Candy Apple, Nice is Nice. I've also purchased two new Golden Rose polishes, #28 and #17 (4.95 EUR each), a new Sponge Polish Remover Bottle (4.75 EUR) and some studs at JS Internationails. Finally, I recieved some polishes through trading other beauty products with some girls, I've got Bell Air Flow #703, NYC - East Village.
I also swapped some polishes with the lovely Lisa from LOZLOSA. She has sent me such beautiful polishes. I'm so super happy and grateful. I've said this many times before but thank you so much Lisa! I love all of them <3. She picked out Ninja Polish - Sunny Floam, Butter London - Wallis, Zoya Blu, Zoya - Neely, Nicole by OPI - Sweet Dreams, Heavenly Angel, Stand By Your Manny and Alex By The Books. I was gasping and squealing everytime I unwrapped a bottle. I havent tried them all yet but I did swatch them and man.. they're all so gorgeous!
So that was last weeks haul. Yes I'm very poor right now lol. The worst thing is that I'm still expecting a lot of OPI polishes but that will be enough for me for this whole month (I hope). So whatt did you think of this haul? Are there products in it that you love or want to try? Let me know in the comments below.

Awesome shopping spree Lariesa!!! Yeah I don't love the Karite hand cream, but I really recommend the lavender one...that one is lighter and smells delicious :)
ReplyDeleteMy Gawd. Whatta haul!
ReplyDeleteWhen you said you were going shopping, you were SERIOUSLY going shopping. LOLOL.
Lemme know how you like the L'Occitane products. I laughed over traveling to the Hague for a free 30 ml hand cream. Yeah, I can see doing that. L'Occitane has a quiet presence here in the US. I've seen their products at Sephora, but shied away because it's an unknown. Can't wait to hear how it works for ya.
Now, LUSH on the other hand...I know all about. Practically live there. My secret desire is to become a compounder and "go on tour." Wholly approve of your selections. LOVE Ocean Salt. Let us know how the massage bar goes. Is that the one with the chocolate in it? I always think of the sheets. Ewwww. ;)
Glad you liked the polishes I sent. I'm adoring the ones you sent me. :)
I guess you now have your blog's editorial calendar packed for the next month ;)
Hugs.
Lisa
PS: and the matte lipstick....post a pic!
